Short term parking is sometimes available in front of the building you are visiting. Be careful to park in only designated parking areas.
Taking public transportation:
Use the Chicago Transit Authority’s Yellow Line, which provides a rapid transit connection with nearby Evanston, downtown Chicago and key Chicago neighborhoods. The Metra Milwaukee District North Line also provides access to the Park. Many visitors also use ride sharing services such as Uber, Lyft or taxi cabs.
Flying into O’Hare International Airport (ORD):
O’Hare International Airport, a major hub for domestic and international air travel, is approximately 30 minutes away by car or cab.
Taxis are available outside lower level of each terminal. For taxis/cabs to Chicago suburbs, there are listings available at each terminal lower level at their courtesy board. Rates from O’Hare to Skokie vary from $30 to $40 Note, if you are scheduling a ride sharing from the Park to the airport, call in advance. Pick up is not always available at a moment’s notice. Need to rent a car? Bus shuttles take passengers to O’Hare’s Multi-Modal Facility to the car rental desk to pick-up a vehicle.
Flying into Midway Airport (MDW):
There are a number of ways to get to and from Midway Airport. Located just 10 miles from downtown Chicago, Midway is easily reachable by the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) Orange Line in just 20-30 minutes, as well as by regional buses, downtown and suburban shuttles, and interstate highways.
Consider flying into (MKE) Milwaukee’s Airport. If your business takes you North to Abbott, Baxter, or other locations North of the Park, MKE can be a good solution. It takes approximately 75 – 90 minutes to drive to Illinois Science + Technology Park from Milwaukee. Major airlines serving O’Hare and Midway also serve MKE.
